Clarity that holds up under pressure.
Strategic thought partnership for leaders navigating complexity.
I work with founders, CFOs, and senior executives at moments that determine direction.
When decisions are complex, stakes are high, or language no longer matches reality, I serve as a discreet thinking partner, helping translate what’s known, what’s felt, and what’s unsaid into communication people can actually act on.
My work combines strategic thinking, disciplined communication, and organizational judgment. I’m often brought in when ideas are sound but difficult to articulate, when alignment matters as much as accuracy, or when the audience is intelligent, influential, and unforgiving.
Most clients engage me as a long-term strategic partner rather than for one-off projects. I maintain a small portfolio and work best in high-trust, ongoing relationships where context and judgment compound over time.
This is not volume work. It’s judgment work.
Writing is often one outcome of this work, but the core value lies in strategic clarity, positioning, and decision support.
How I work
I work quietly alongside founders, CEOs, and senior leadership teams as an embedded strategic and narrative partner, shaping the language around decisions that matter. The work may take the form of major reports, executive presentations, internal narratives, or external thought leadership, but the thread is the same: language that holds up internally, externally, and over time.
I help leaders:
- Structure complex thinking before it becomes language
- Refine narratives without losing credibility
- Communicate change without unnecessary friction
- Say the hard thing plainly, without drama or distortion
In many engagements, I function as an external brain: a place where ideas can be tested, structured, and pressure-tested before they move into the organization or the market.
The goal is not to sound impressive. The goal is to be understood, trusted, and decisive.
My influences
Before establishing my consulting practice, I built a multidisciplinary career spanning financial services, technology, consulting, and executive advisory work. I’ve led operations, overseen large-scale electronic banking portfolios, managed risk and fraud functions, sold enterprise software to financial institutions, and advised bank CEOs on strategy.
Alongside that work, I spent more than a decade as a published writer and editor, creating content that was intelligent, accessible, and precise across business, technology, food, travel, and health care.
That combination matters.
It allows me to move comfortably between executive strategy, operational reality, and communication that must hold up with sophisticated audiences.
It means I don’t just write well. I understand organizations, incentives, power dynamics, and how decisions actually get made. I bring business fluency, editorial precision, and the judgment required to navigate complex internal terrain.
Where this work is used
Clients depend on me when communication must be:
- Accurate
- Aligned
- Sensitive to context
- Accessible to multiple audiences
- Executed with care and precision
Most often, this work sits close to decision-making: board-level materials, leadership positioning, strategic initiatives, organizational change, and thought leadership that reflects real expertise rather than marketing volume.
Today, I focus exclusively on supporting executives and teams who need high-caliber communication without bottlenecks or noise. This includes decision-support materials, leadership narratives, thought leadership, presentations, and any work where clarity is non-negotiable
I often work with leaders whose thinking runs ahead of structure — where the challenge is not insight, but organizing it in a way others can understand, trust, and act on.
My background includes an MBA with concentrations in finance and marketing, along with earlier degrees in psychology and biology. It’s an uncommon blend, and it shapes how I work: analytically, empathetically, and with a clear understanding of how systems and people drive outcomes.
For the past several years, I’ve served as an embedded strategic and narrative partner across multiple brands within a national tax and advisory platform, supporting leadership positioning, thought leadership, and decision-adjacent communication across a complex, multi-entity environment.
That long-term, high-trust model reflects how I do my best work.
A quiet partnership
If you need a discreet, senior-level partner who can sharpen your thinking, elevate your communication, and strengthen your leadership presence, that’s where I come in.
I work with a small number of leaders at any given time and prioritize depth, discretion, and long-term effectiveness over volume.
When communication carries consequence, discretion matters.
